Time for a show

Elena had a ballet recital.  All of Miss Hannah’s dance classes participated and performed to songs from the Nutcracker. Elena’s class danced to Spanish Chocolate. Elena loves putting on dance shows! She did an amazing job following the routine and was a super cute dancer.After the dances, there was a dessert reception.  Elena go a big bouquet of roses from her daddy.  So pretty and smelled so good! Amelia got flowers from her daddy too!  Great performance girls!

Goin’ to the Lodge

We finally made it to Great Wolf Lodge!    Elena loved all the waterslides.  There were waterslides in the shallow area, medium sized waterslides that Elena went down all by herself, and large waterslides that went through tunnels and you had to ride an inner tube or raft on.  She was so brave! These jetskis were fun to ride, but they were stationary. Trying to squirt Zachy! Elena also enjoyed sitting in the inner tube in the wave pool, splashing Daddy, listening to story time, and watching the indoor snow storm. We went to the lodge with Aubrie and her family.  These stick bugs were a Christmas present from Aubrie.  There are six of them, they are sticky, and they eat blackberry bushes.

We are already excited about going to Great Wolf again.  Who wants to join us?

Going on a tree hunt

Many of the Noble Firs had red and purple needles, so we did a lot of tree searching. It was a sunny, chilly day and visiting the tree farm is like taking a walk in the woods!  The ground was frozen and crunchy when we walked on it. Daddy had the power saw all charged so the tree went down fast!  Timber! Clarice and Little Golden came too.  They like Christmas a lot! I got a rainbow candy cane from the farm owners.  It was really tasty! Mommy got Zachy and I matching winter outfits.  I love reindeer!  Zachy will probably be able to wear his sweater next year too!  Not me, I am growing super fast.

Hello, Santa

We saw Santa with Aubrie this year.  We wore matching reindeer skirts.  My tights have sparkle stripes! I was so good with Santa and didn’t cry at all.  I didn’t sit on his lap, but I did ask for Jasmine and Aladdin dolls.  I’m being really good, so I hope he brings them.Here’s our Christmas card!  I put the stamps and address stickers on all the envelopes! This is our Christmas letter.  There are questions about me!

Elena is so photogenic!  She does an awesome job at the individual portraits and it is always hard to choose just one pose.Happy family!

Yay, Christmas!

I could spend all day arranging the colors on the tree.  It is the perfect size for Barbie’s to put presents under! I like the blue and purple lights the best.  I wish we had more of those colors… Oooh, I’m going to do a rainbow tree! Didn’t Zachy and I do a great job?  I can’t wait to do more Christmas decorations! Love, Elena

Prima ballerina

Elena is taking ballet classes at the YMCA.  She adores her teacher, Miss Hannah, and hangs on every word she says.  Elena’s friend from school, Amelia, is also in the class. We’re really looking forward to the December recital.  Should be super cute!
