No tears this year!
We had Santa pictures taken at Bellevue Square again this year. We drove by the mall right when they were doing their evening snowflake show. There were live drummers, carolers, people in princess, reindeer, and polar bear costumes, and lots of music and lights. It was an exciting site and we enjoyed it nice and toasty from inside the car.
Elena was still nervous about visiting Santa, but she agreed to stand by him and wrote a note with her Christmas list. After the picture, Santa's helpers gave Elena a peppermint lolly pop (not nearly as messy as candy canes) and a stuffed Rudolph with a light-up nose.
Neighbors had put up their Christmas lights, so our drive home was very colorful. Homes and yards that were completely covered in lights were given the title "crazy town" by Elena.
