School Harvest Party

Elena had a Harvest party at school on Tuesday. They had a snack, did 2 art projects, read some books, and sang a song. They sang "Looking for Dracula" which is similar to "Going on a Bear Hunt."
Their art projects were adding glitter to a jack-o-lantern picture and making a puppet to go along with the Five Little Pumpkins rhyme.
Afterwards there was time to do regular work. Elena elected to make a pumpkin picture for Grandma.
Then recess! What a great day for outside play!

Movie night

We went to see Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas in 3-D. Elena loved it! She dressed up in Halloween clothes and was always checking to see if we were wearing our glasses.

Elena at dance

Elena loved Princess Camp over the summer and was really excited to sign up for dance with Miss Sara. Elena didn't wear a leotard the first day because we signed up on the spur of the moment. She had so much fun!
We had to buy new ballet slippers before the second class since the ones we got for Princess Camp didn't fit anymore.
The leotards aren't fitting very well either... hint, hint Auntie Tracy!
I wish there was a recital at the end we could invite you to, but that's for the 4yr and up classes. Next year!

Been busy

Sorry there hasn't been an entry yet this month - I've been super busy. I've been working hard during the week and we've been gone on weekends so there hasn't been a chance for me to update the blog.

Elena has finished her swimming lessons (and we didn't sign up for a new session) and has started dance class. We've been to the Seattle Aquarium toddler time, Cougar Mountain Zoo to see the baby tigers, planning a Halloween party, Crab Fest in Port Angeles (fun with Nana and Pop Pop), along with our regular trips to the library, errands, and school. If you want to see pictures from those things, you'll just have to come over and check out Elena's scrapbook! We'd love to have you over and Elena will rope you into playing Barbies with her...
