Elena's art teacher, Miss Kimberly, told us how to make real ice cream at home, WITHOUT AN ICE CREAM MAKER!
So we put some milk and sugar and vanilla into a small Ziploc. Put that Ziploc into a larger Ziploc with ice and salt. Then put it in another Ziploc with a towel to prevent cold hands. Elena and Daddy went outside and played catch with it for about 5 minutes to get it to harden.
We had chocolate syrup and sprinkles to put on top but made it super fancy by putting it in a sundae glass.
Elena was super proud of her creation - can't believe she posed for this picture instead of gobbling it up!
She thought it was worth the effort.
And enjoyed every bit...
